Coffee for breakfast at Soul Cafe

We slept quite well in our room at the Grand Mercure in Swanston Street, although there was noise outside during the night. In the morning we found the Soul Cafe nearby for breakfast of granola with yogurt and berries, fresh orange juice and two flat white coffees. Matthew and  Sarah are meeting us here at 11.

Snapper for lunch

We all met up and set off to have lunch at a nice Italian restaurant, Bottega, in Bourke Street. We had Prosecco and Gembrook SB, I had burrata with peas and broad beans followed by snapper. The others also had dessert.

With Sarah and Matthew

We went back to the hotel to rest; I felt rather queasy. Later on we met the others for China tea and small snacks at the Oriental Tea Rooms. We even had a Christmas pudding flavoured dish. The streets and trams were very crowded.


At our hotel we watched Father Brown on TV.
